02 / UAP

Curiosity, with the receipts attached.

Anomalous phenomena deserve patient questions, original records, and explanations that can be tested.

What we’re watching

  1. Records: original documents, provenance, dates, and what has been independently confirmed.
  2. Sensors: calibration, geometry, timing, and the limits of an instrument.
  3. Interpretations: ordinary explanations, unresolved gaps, and what would discriminate between them.

The standard

Report the observation before the explanation. Multiple accounts are useful; independent evidence is stronger. Unresolved means unresolved.

From the first edition

Unidentified is a starting point.

Curiosity gets stronger when uncertainty stays visible.
